Jean-Philippe has worked in management positions for leading offshore trust companies prior to co-founding Claris Trustees. Jean-Philippe is a partner at Chetcuti Cauchi Advocates, a Maltese law firm, where he specialises in international taxation, corporate finance and trusts law.  A doctor of laws graduate of the University of Malta, he subsequently earned his Master of Laws degree in international economic law and taxation at the University of Warwick, UK. He is a council member of the Institute of Financial Services Practitioners of Malta and an executive member of the Malta branch of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP).  He is also a member of the International Tax Planning Association, the International Fiscal Association and the Malta Institute of Taxation.  Jean-Philippe is a lecturer at the Academy for Law & Finance in Valletta.

Maria began her career as a corporate lawyer with Deloitte Touche and moved to a commercial law firm before taking her role as partner at Chetcuti Cauchi Advocates and co-founding Claris Trustees.  Maria graduated in law and international economic law from the Universities of Malta and Warwick respectively and has a wide range of experience of trust and company management including fine art, commercial and residential property and private equity. Maria is a lecturer at the Academy for Law & Finance in Valletta.  She is a member of the Chamber of Advocates of Malta, the Institute of Financial Services Practitioners and the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP).

Dr Priscilla Galea BA, LLD, TEP

Priscilla began her career with the law firm Chetcuti Cauchi Advocates in the City of Valletta where she gained her valuable experience in company, trust and property management.  She then also joined Claris Trustees where she manages the Company Management Department.  Priscilla is a first degree law graduate and is currently reading for a Masters in Financial Services from the University of Malta.  Priscilla is a member of the Chamber of Advocates of Malta and the Institute of Financial Services Practitioners, and acts as secretary to the Malta branch of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP).  Priscilla is a lecturer at the Academy for Law & Finance in Valletta.
